About Me

A bit about me

I enjoy music, reading, humour, dancing, nature, the beach, and windy weather.

I have had a deep interest in people since my early teenage years and in particular how we cope with adversity in our lives. At a time when I needed support as a teenager, I was lucky to meet someone who listened to me, who understood me, and who accepted me for who I was.  I felt safe and supported enough to delve into what was bothering me, and to take the first step towards healing.

The logo of the ear (Cluas in Irish) reflects that positive listening experience and is something that I now pass on through my work as a Counsellor.

I have a special interest in panics attacks, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, and family dynamics.

One of my favourite quotes is from Carl Rogers: “when you are in psychological distress and someone really hears you without passing judgement on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good!”.
